Today, I want to celebrate you.
The woman I’ve had the privilege to teach and share knowledge with.
Because if you are here, reading this email, that means that you are a hard-working, passionate, and motivated woman.
And although some circumstances make you doubt that,
and think like you’re not good enough,
Remember that those are just circumstances.
They don’t affect who you really are, at your core.
And they don’t define you.
I want you to remember that when you speak English.
When you get confused or stuck.
Or when you lose your train of thought because someone had just interrupted you and it’s so freaking hard to get back on track.
So you keep quiet.
Breaking the ceiling as a woman is as hard as it is.
It’s even harder when you feel English is a barrier.
Circumstances like mistakes, grammar uncertainty, accent
are not a good enough reason to keep you quite.
