  1. Hi, Hadar!, after reading your context about this topic. I would say that always is important a small talk and it is more if you live in USA how is my case. I have seen this specially when you assist for the first time somewhere specially americans people at church or if you visit a friend`s house it is part of this culture. Beside this I would say according to my experience that always it would be nice when you pay attention about the question they ask and being ready for asking more questions related to questions , so in that way you can keep a longer conversation. As a teacher I try to have small talk all the time, so I can practice english and when you are updated how you need to react in different situations the process of learning become easier. For that reason is essencial to read this type of topic.
