I wish I had known when I was twenty. Because of your using the past « was » you would grammatically use the past conditionnal. Do you agree? I wish I knew those fluency tips now refers to the present. I am just another English teacher. I really appreciate your stuff on pronunciation. My comment, maybe, does not take into account that people say that. I hear all kinds of grammar mistakes that don’t affect the meaning. « I would have broke « is another one where people don’t use the past participle in the past conditionnal. Keep on the good work.
