When I came to New Sound my goal was to be able to speak for one minute because I wasn’t able to express myself or even have a short conversation. I live in a place where everyone speaks English, and I need to talk with my kid’s teacher, or a doctor, and this was very frustrating. Today I feel free. That fear of making mistakes was keeping me stuck not only in English but in my life. Today I’m free to speak English and express myself in my native language, Portuguese, too. I feel so happy.
